🧪 Best HP and MP potions in MapleStory Classic
Which potion is worth it? We compare how much HP or MP each meso buys at NPC shops and in the in-game Free Market, with real prices that update themselves.
⚡ TL;DR
- ❤️ HP at NPC shops: Red Potion, Meat and Fried Chicken give 2 HP per meso, the best there is. Meat heals 160 for 80 mesos: same value as Red Potion but more healing per inventory slot.
- 💙 MP at NPC shops: Lemon and Orange give 1 MP per meso; Blue Potion is worse (0.91). With maxed Improved MP Recovery, a 150-meso Lemon gives 180 MP.
- 🏪 The Free Market sometimes beats every shop: players sell what drops for them (Unagi, Pure Water…). Check the FM column in the tables.
- ✨ Clerics heal with Heal and barely use HP potions, so they sell the ones that drop. Red Potions at 40 mesos already give 2.5 HP per meso: better than any NPC shop.
- 🎒 Cheapest isn't always best: once your max HP grows a lot, a bigger potion saves inventory space and keypresses mid-fight.
- 🍰 Need both (mages)? Cake gives 100 HP + 100 MP for 150 mesos.
